Engineering

If you need help with video or lighting engineering on your next project, look no further than Benji Arrigo.

With over 5 years experience designing theatrical visual entertainment systems – you can be confident you’re in good hands.

Below is a selection of drafting, custom technologies, and software.

Muny Drafting

In 2022, as one of the video heads in training at the Muny, I re-drafted the Video Engineering for the theatre.

The drafting was done in KiCAD and is still a work-in-progress as we finalize some changes to the system design.

CHD Network Attached Storage

In late 2022 I was contracted to design and build two NAS computers for Caite Hevner Design, Inc.

One is a large 130TB in-studio NAS for long-term data storage. The other is a travel NAS with around 35TB of usable storage. Both use OpenZFS and have the TrueNAS operating system installed.

The Travel NAS features 2x 10Gbps ports and can support up to 8 people editing 4k ProRes 4444 footage simultaneously. It also fits inside a carry-on flight case!

TackyTrax

TackyTrax is a theatrical video content manager, specifically designed for workflows that use Adobe After Effects. It automatically syncs and installs fonts and scripts- and can even orchestrate multiple machines to work together to render a comp.

TackyTrax is currently in Alpha, and needs testers. If you’d like receive a free copy of the Alpha program, you can join our testing program by emailing admin@strikete.com
